If You Could Only Own One Smith & Wesson… What Would It Be?

This is an extremely difficult task. Honestly, I can't narrow it to just one, so it would have to be one of the following 4 that I grab as I'm running out the door!

The top 4 would include my:
36-6 3" Chief's Target Special
Either my 14-1 or 14-3 K38 6" Masterpiece,
My 27-2 8 3/8" 357 Magnum, or
My 57 41 Magnum

Each serves a specific purpose or has an exceptional characteristic!

The 14s allow me to place my shots effectively.
My 36-6 has great balance and is an exceptional carry revolver
The Model 27 has consistently dropped IHMSA rams at 200m.
The Model 57 is my do-all revolver that can fill numerous boxes on a check list!

I’d have my SW model 27-2 5”
 
Tough question. Lots of factors will influence the decision once you sit down and go over things in your mind.

Target shooing only? S&W 586 6".
Woods carry where there are bears? S&W M29 4".
EDC concealed for protection where I live now? Shield Plus 9MM.
Open carry on my property where I live now? 2.0 5" FDE .40.

So, if only one it would have to be the Shield Plus 9MM since it gets carried places/spaces the others wouldn't work in/for. And I'd just stay down here in the flatlands and never go to the mountains.

Well…..since I only own one S&W it would have to be my 66-3 tri-alpha. K-frame, round butt, .357. I’ve had one since 1988. The combination of the round butt and larger frame fit my hand perfectly. Conceals well and can handle the magnum rounds although I normally have +p’s loaded.

Ordered one from S&W in 1988 and sold it in 2019 when I sold 95% of my entire collection. Within a month or so, suffering from a serious case of sellers remorse, I sought out a replacement. Took a bit but came up with one made about the same year. Made the case myself.
