I made the mistake of trying to order a custom uni-throater from ptg over a month ago. What a HUGE mistake it turned out to be!!!!!
It started out bad from the beginning, they didn't get the order right. I called them a week later & asked them to correct my order & to please update my invoice & e-mail me a new total. Of course that never happened so 2 weeks later I called them again asking if they update my order & please send me a total. The lady said she couldn't find my order (I gave her the conformation # they originally sent me with my order). The # meant nothing and asked my name and address all over again along with what did I want to order. From there she told me that I didn't need to wait for a uni-throater to be made & that they have them on the shelve ready to ship.
I told her I was special ordering one and told her the dimensions of what I wanted & asked if she knew how long it would take to have one made. She said "Ya, I guess we should give you an idea of how long it will be". And" I'm not sure." Then she hung up the phone.
So today, a month later I call them & get the what's your name? What did you order? O, we have them on the shelve, yada/yada/yada. At this point I don't want anything more to do with them & try to cancel my order.
That's when the lady from PTG got real nasty with me & started cussing me.
They never did get my order right
They never did tell me how much I owed them
They never did send me anything
Heck, I tried 3 times to get a t-handle with my order (those throaters are hard to turn with my fingers) and never was able to buy one with or without the custom throater.
The lady from ptg said I wasn't getting $hit back because they already started the custom order. I said that's funny, The other lady I talked to less than 2 minutes ago couldn't find a order for me & didn't even know what I was trying to order but after taking my name & address she was going to send me a uni-throater off the shelve.
It got real nasty when I told her that and she really started screaming and cussing. That's when I had enough & told her to kiss my irish a$$ and hung up. Called the credit card co & disputed the ptg charge.
I know there's a 15% restocking fee & I'll gladly pay it just to be rid of them even though they did absolutely nothing to earn it.
On the bright side, they ain't the only fish in the sea. I called David Mason today & in 2 minutes he had my order and I actually got a total for my order and even a delivery date, 28 days.
All's I can say is if you order anything from ptg, be careful. All's they did for me was give me the run-around for a month & then cuss me out when I finely had enough and wanted my money back.
