Hey guys,

I'm doing a project for a class on Smith and Wesson pistols. Since I'd like to focus it on .45 revolvers, I've been looking all over the internet for a drawing/picture of a cylinder with its dimensions displayed, but haven't been able to find anything remotely close.

At this point I'm not even picky over which kind of .45 revolver I can get dimensions for, I just need something to display.

Does anybody happen to know where I could look to find the dimensions? Does anybody know what they are? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

I have a S&W 625JM, .456acp and some dial calipers.
diameter of cylinder 1.710"
lenghth of cylinder 1.540"
charge holes diameter bolt circle 1.093"

The diameters should be the same for any "N" frame revolver. The lenghth of cylinder would be different (longer) for a 625 in .45 Colt. Hope that answers your questions, Jim.

The cylinder on a 25 is 1.67" long for a 45 Colt and 1.53" for the 45ACP. Think the 625 is about 1.55" for the 45ACP, not sure what is is for 45 Colt.
