Used to be $10-15 a pair but now they have a cult following and I see them priced $50+. Best palm swell I've ever gripped.

Are they real wood or resin cast?
This is an old thread, but I wanted to save what little information was posted and add to it.
I picked up these Rogers Combat grips for a RB J frame last weekend. I can see why these have developed somewhat of a cult following, but there's little information posted on the net.
They're very well made and heavier than you would expect. The finger grooves are wide enough for my fat fingers and the double palmswell reminds me of Hurst/Farrant stocks. The blind threaded escutcheon is molded in and the inside has several integral alignment pins.
I initially thought they were made from a thermoset composite, but a hot needle test on the back makes me think they're made from a filled thermoplastic resin. Whatever it is, the faux burl finish has substantial depth and the fit and finish is excellent.
The shape reminds me of Hogue's and I understand there is some association with them, as well as Safariland. Mine are unbranded and difficult to attribute, but I've seen others with the Rogers medallion. It's nice that they molded the gun make/model into the back.
If you have a set, please post them in this thread. I would also appreciate photos of any catalogues/brochures.

I have a set on a 29-2 4 inch that I used in competition in the 1970's.
Wrapped them with tennis tape. Won some matches with that gun
because I had plenty of power to know down steel and it never jammed
like most of my competitions shooing 1911's. I will try to post photo
later.

These grips are Bill Rogers design - slightly different nuances than Guy Hogues - I believe they were both members of the LASD, but not 100% certain of that. I have seen them unbranded, branded as Rogers (this is my set)...
and then Safariland bought the rights (and maybe hired Bill too) and sold them with their logo.

I found new pair 7 are 8 years ago. They are still in the box. They look a lot like wood.

Bill Rogers was an FBI agent. He left the bu to produce his plastic holster designs and other products at his family business in Florida.
After a similar discussion here, I asked Bill Rogers about his grip origination since the grips are clearly derivative of the pre-Monogrip 2-piece grips by Guy Hogue. I had always guessed that Rogers made a financial arrangement with Hogue. Apparently not.
Of course Hogue did not originate palm swells or finger grooves, but he made the most of the concepts. 2-piece Hogue grips often had the islands in the inletting like Rogers, and some had the locating pins too.
Some assert that Rogers also made wooden grips, but not that I know about. Anything wood is a Hogue. Of course, Hogue later came out with his own line of plastic grips.

I purchased a pair of Hogue grips in the late 1970s. They did not fit my hand but I liked the palm swell concept that Guy Hogue had developed. Also the fit on the revolver was loose.
I then made my own grips that fit my hand and transferred the patterns to carbon. We then used the EDM process to make molds for the patterns. I designed the molded tabs that would automatically fit the different variations of the Smith Frames. I then developed the process to make the Burlwud, synthetic wood finish.

I'll attach the Rogers fitting instruction, a 1982 catalog page that is similar to the 1970's catalog, and a comparison picture of the early thin to later thicker grips.

I have two pair of the SB N frame "Burlwood" that are identical to Jimmy J's in post 8 without right side brass medallion.
Model number 18004 (upper right in ad post above).
The fit feel and finish is rather good with the exception of the heel seem which is rather sloppy on both pairs.
