I finally came across my first set of N-frame John Hurst stocks. I've gone through a fair share of 'mystery' stocks - Ropers, Hursts, and Farrants trying to track down N-frame sets but many were K-frames. I feel very lucky to have found this set, as I've owned 3 prior sets of Hursts and sold all three hoping for a set of N's. I really like the shape and look of Hurst's work in relation to his contemporaries, the palm swell and contour is pretty amazing... still planning on putting together a thread of photos/descriptions/characteristics of his work... but you guys will have to wait a little longer! You guys out West seem to own all of Cloyce's stocks.

Smith Wesson K / L frame Custom made grips in excellent condition. I believe these were crafted by Guy Hogue and resemble his early work, 2-piece construction, contoured palm swell, and detailed checkering pattern. Early custom grips are scarcely found let alone S&W K/L round-butt frames.

Such detail, designed to look simplistic, but beautiful. The diamond escutcheon tip, subtle combat style grip, and prominent "coke" palm swell. Very fine checkering, so very nice!

Hello Hoosier45,
very, very nice N-frame stocks :) !

Perhaps -PLEASE- it's possible, to add a pic of the inside from this beautiful stocks, so
we "stocks & grips maniacs" have something to compare (Hurst / Hogue / Farrant...) ?

Thanks in advance

(I choose a "Made in Germany Example" to avoid any confusion with the LAPD-gripmakers...)

P. 44-

Who is the German grip maker and what wood is that? The join of the grip panels in the back of the gun is superb!

A little late to the Hurst party, but it seems like a crowd who appreciates Hurst, Farrant and Hogue grips. Here’s a set of gently used Hurst K frame grips I picked up from a California cop buddy, who retired from the Fremont PD. Zebra wood?
They should look good on a 648 no dash I just picked up.
