I found this gun on an online auction. I should have bought it. I tried looking it up and there are no records of this gun being made. It is a K frame 4" Combat Masterpiece chambered in 22LR and made of stainless steel. Any help IDing this would be much appreciated.

Right. The analog K-frame would be a 617, though the majority of them have a full underlug, IIRC.

I had to check my safe. My 63 has the identical stocks.
I bought them at a show for $10.
Does Herretts mark theirs on the inside?

I have several pair or Herretts Shooting Stars; I prefer the wrap around checkering. I just picked up a nice set for my Colt DS. Ended up in a bidding war - dropping a Benjamin for ‘em. However, I didn’t pay anything for the set I have on my 4” Python. In the end, it all evens out. :)

Welcome to the Forum. Yes, a J frame 63 with incorrect stocks. Where I shop it would sell for $650 to $750. Now that you've found the Forum, hope you continue to visit.

Herrett's Shooting Stars stocks/grips.........I have the same grips in my box.

Herrett's often have (or had) a small sticker on the inside that said Genuine Herrett's if I recall. But they often fall off with age. I have owned a couple of pair that had a stain left from the adhesive used on the sticker but the sticker was long gone.
