Bored and made the most tacticooled mall ninja revolver tonight.....
Thought I'd share with you guys what I do when I get bored, lol. Slaughter up parts and pieces. It's no wonder I built rat rods and cafe racers when i was into bikes. Now that I'm into guns......
It's so ugly I cant stop holding it, lol, kinda cool though, not gonna lie. Only because it's a revolver, I cracked up laughing when I first tried it, just so random!! Lol, cant wait to take it to the range and see what looks I get.
Itll be interesting to see if the cord gets cut by the cylinder gap flame...

Lol, wow, that's like Steampunk gun right there!!
Yeah, I like the DP12 kinda, too. Then again,I also like my M6 Scout, some guns are either you hate em or love em, no in between, lol.
Well, got the replies I kind of figured on here, but again. Doesnt bother me. Like I said, I was bored and this is what I came up with. Honestly, I'm gonna rock it, for night hunting itd my backup (the light is a TLR-VIR, perfect for night vision) and for house duty, I think it's a pretty good setup. If the switch fails, still have the padel.
Of course, again. That's if the cord doesnt get cut off from flame cutting, lol.

The holster I settled on about a year ago. That was another battle, lol. Those calls were amazing!!
Holster guys," we can make any holster for any gun"
Me, "did you get the email? Black TRR8?"
Holster guys, "oh.... yeah... that thing.... um.... maybe not that gun...."
So, again. Got creative, lol. I seriously watched too much Mad Max as a kid.... while it's not pretty or elegant, it works well, keeps rain and mud out (I live in FL), keeps it secure, can hold spare batteries and cleaning kit if i want, lol, and the Micro T2 tool. It's actually VERY comfortable to wear, and if practiced, can be fairly fast on the draw, as long as tabs are out of keepers. I originally had a slaughtered up Condor Drop leg holster, but is was a wee bit tight around the gun and too much weight dangling too low. I wear tool belts all day, every day, so this feels natural. It kind of reminds me of some of the holsters from WW1 and WW2, just not sized to the gun. I may go to a tailor shop or canvas shop one day and get it "fitted", but for now this.

Well, we already have tactical lever action rifles and tactical double-barrel shotguns... I guess revolvers needed to join the party.

From the looks of some of the newer stuff they’re releasing, I’d say you have a career in the S&W R&D Dept.

I'm surprised they haven't made one based on the Judge, yet.
Give them time.

Hey, don't forget us "Gunshop Commando's"! Why not mix things up a bit and have fun? Wrap your cord with a bit of heavy duty aluminum foil, should work for a cylinder or so. Have fun with that bad boy!

Originally I was gonna throw a rsil under the bottom of a Ruger Super Redhawk (they have enough barrel thickness, lol), and cut it from 7.5 to maybe 5 or 4 inch. Ended up selling it though. Maybe next time!

At least that TRR8 is still a S&W.
To be truly ugly you must start with a Ruger

A flashlight and a laser actually make a lot of sense on any and every home defense firearm. You don't have to worry about finding a holster to fit since you're not carrying it.

It's only for home defense and hunting. NOT every day carry, lol.
It really is my most versatile handgun, I also night hunt, hence the big flashlight. Has a visible light and an IR light.

Ya know, that exact little setup in .22 mag would make a nice little 'coon gun at night.

Last accessory would be a pistol brace; you'd have to put a 1 - 1.25" cylindrical tube on the rear grip frame but where there's a will, there's a way.

Somewhere I have a bayonet scaled down for handgun attachment. It was made up as a joke by one of the laser developers.

I once thought about a pistol for night hunting raccoons (in Florida its 22 LR or 410 only (although I keep the 357 on me for protection), still not ruled out, lol. I own a commercial door and hardware installation company, and no, it's not like you're hollow doors in a house, lol. So I get tired of carrying/working with heavy ****, when hunting, it's my time off, and light as possible is pleasant!! Especially in FL heat, even at night.

That was/is the Laserlyte Pistol Bayonet, sadly out of production.

CZ also made a pistol bayonet that attached to the light rail. But no provision to hang a light underneath it, so maybe that's why it got discontinued....
As for the cable being cut by normal cylinder gap leakage, I'd think it's far enough away. But you could split a short length of small diameter flexible tubing as a potential sacrificial protective cover in initial testing. Slice it lengthwise and slip it over the important wire. Clear PVC tubing ought to do fine! If it works it would solve an ergonomic shortfall that bugged me when I had a TRR8.

Good idea! I may try that, if the pvs survives I'll take it off and use as it is.
Just talked to my gunsmith buddy, said he threw up a little in his mouth, lol! But he agreed, if it works, it works.... kind of like the SCAR rifle, we dont buy them for beauty, and this isn't my "Beauty" gun, my 66-1 is. Wait until you guys see my integrally suppressed pump shotgun..... you'll lose your lunch, lol. But it is pretty compact and badass!
I'll probably look into a smaller Streamlight light. If not, maybe buy another company with a smaller light and another buy a broken Crimson grip again. This is what I had laying around. But now that I know how to make it, maybe make a more "refined" one, if there is such a thing, lol.
