Here is a pic of the only set of Culina grips I have mounted.
I have 3 other pair of K Frame ones and 2 J Frame ones.
Their work is excellent!!
Also shown is a set of Spegel grips. Great for carry and nice looking. Long wait to order a set but worth it.
And last pics are Elk grips from the local Forum legend BGMTNMAN if you are looking for something classic.

Altamont is a good choice, as well.
Herretts if you want off the shelf - with the option to fit them to a tracing of your hand.

I had Culina make a round butt to square butt conversion for a 3” model 13
You could not tell the difference between them and a S&W goncalvo combats I have. Great work. Took some time but unbelievably well made

You asked for a custom stock maker. All the responses so far have been for semi custom/factory stocks.
On this forum, 44magget is one who will carve stocks for you. There are others.

Culina. Pricey, but well worth it. I have a few K frames and a couple N frames with his stocks on them.
I've had mostly Hogues on single actions and my S&W revolvers.
They ship usually the same day and the San Diego area isn't far.
I tend to reshape the Hogues I get so they feel right, at least in the bigger frame sizes. They tend to be quite long because of the clip and screw at the bottom of the frame.
I didn't like how large the bottom finger lump was on these Cocobolos so I trimmed it down.
Now I prefer the non finger groove ones like these Goncalo Alves ones on my M63-3.
I had my eye on Ahrends grips but didn't want to wait several months.
Now that I have some grips to get me by, I'm placing an order for some Ahrends.
All of his grips are $80, with the option of a hand rubbed tung oil finish for $20 more.
I looked at Culinas website, nice but I looked and looked for prices but couldn't find any, he must be very proud of them.

I guess it depends on your definition of "custom".
I sure wouldn't call Culnas semi-custom or Factory.
Herretts will make them to fit a tracing of YOUR hand. That seems pretty custom to me! Certainly not mass produced factory goods.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but Kim Ahrends is out of business. I just looked at his website to make sure the bank didn't open it back up.
Site note indicated Feb 2020 was last time he was taking orders.
If he was still around he would be a good pick.
