I had these S&W factory target grips on my Midway wish list, and they put them on sale for maybe a week. Now they're $12 bucks more. They do look different than the image shown on-line and are not shiny but are very nice with good grain features and lighter than 'normal' color. Many reviewers stated these are a newer style and a bit thinner at the butt. IMO, they feel very comfortable and fit my hands just right.

Comes with two additional pins, one for the butt below the frame and another up front in the finger hold portion. Fit perfect, no gaps, no rocking or movement. Wood grains line up correctly. Looking forward to a range test.

Probably Altamont. A photo of the inside of the grips would confirm it. Altamont makes the OEM grips for the newer S&W guns. Usually good quality but I find that their target grips are not wide enough along the back strap to be comfortable for me.

One of the reasons I do like them- they are thinner on the backstrap than earlier Smith target grips. They fit me well.

New Altamont grips, CNC machined, on a pinned revolver? Nope, thanks

Not like I threw the originals away, but these are more comfortable and easier to hold on target- for me at least. And more comfortable than the period correct factory target grips, which is a main reason why people have changed to these.

Sorry, but I don't like the color or the finish. Do not like the high diamond/screw location. You didn't note the vintage of your gun, and do not know what you are planning on doing with it, but it deserves factory targets. That is a very nice revolver and whatever it costs for a set of factory targets, you will have them forever and down the road they will be worth lots more than you paid for them today.
