Used blackhawk 44 mags not worth much anymore?

Come to think of it, I have never seen a Colt or USFA in a holster behind a pack of bear dogs, or hanging on the rack of an atv or looped around the fender light of a tractor....but I have seen several Rugers in those locales.

    Musings on the M1 carbine

Wish ole Sgt Mize would weigh in on the supposed ineffective and unreliable m1, m2, and m3 carbines with their "weak anemic round" lol. Have to admit however that I've fired a few old carbines that needed a new recoil spring before they would run reliably. Strangely enough the issue 15...

    Musings on the M1 carbine

Cant describe the carbine or its gas tappet system as weak or unreliable. It's a system that when modified with just a very clever trigger group redesign would run reliably in full auto and was accepted by our military in that configuration. In my experience of the last 40 years of shooting...

    Just inherited…identification help please.

I believe it dates to 1914-1915. You can get a factory letter. Info is on this site. The US did not issue the Triple Lock, but the British bought around 5000 or so in or converted to .455 caliber, for use in WW1.

    Just inherited…identification help please.

That's a very nice and sought after Smith. It's not in such pristine condition that you can't fire it occasionally....they are wonderfully accurate. Fwiw I recently sold my Triple Lock in slightly lesser condition for 2500.00.

    KAHR 380 Experience

I have one. It's been completely reliable with any type of ball ammo, and completely unreliable with any type of hollow point. It's a great size to carry, but I don't. It's more of a tackle box gun.

    Loading 7.62x39 Russian

I went the other way and loaded a 125 grain Sierra .310 Pro Hunter in my .303 Jungle Carbine for whitetail deer. It was effective and the No.5 mk1 carbine is great fun.

    Seecamp LWS 32

I like them They are well made. I've owned 2; a .25acp and a .32. My .32 ran well with PMC Bronze. Magazines are available from Seecamp for a fair price.

    Shotgun ‘Smith for trigger jobs?

Just as info, Timney makes a great drop in sear and spring trigger kit for the Remington 870 that also works in the Remington 7600 rifle.

    Luger Question

I had a Luger with no date and I believe it shook out as a Simson-Suhl re-work. A fairly scarce variation if I remember correctly.

    Mauser 98 vs Lee-Enfield

The Lee is hands down a better battle rifle than the 98 Mauser, simply because it holds twice as many bullets. It has proved itself over the very fine 98 Mauser in 2 world wars.

    Show us your Colts!

Recently picked up this Interesting pistol! Obviously somebody's baby; has a few functional mods like extended safety and wrap around rubber grips. It has a full length guide rod which I really dont care for, but it works 100% so far. Don't breathe on that trigger too hard, it's light...

Any love for Glocks around here?

Was never into them but my dad was an early convert to the G26. I eventually bought a 3rd gen 30S....hard not to like an 11 shot concealable .45 acp. I also built a P80 clone that shoots great.

    US&S

I had one They are fine pistols with a ton of history and unique manufacturing characteristics and finishes. I've always wondered how many are really left out there.

    Buck Fever

Season before last I missed one of the biggest bucks I've ever seen. Shot was about 285 yards and I was shooting an accurate scoped .308 from a solid rest. I got a little flustered because there was a little 4 pt. right under my stand. I just knew I was going to spook him and he was going to...

    New lever gun

Great M94 from a great era of production. I've been watching the prices online creep up for several years. They are getting rather spendy! A nice one is a bargain at almost any price, however.

    Frustrated with sellers on GB

My favorite are the buyers who receive the gun and email you saying it arrived broken, but they don't want to return it they just want $200.
