If you bleach a sling out I am not sure how white it would get, or how much integrity would be left. If you look on Amazon they have some white slings as cheap as 9.75. bob

I also find it a much more comfortable method of carry when compared to tossing a gun in my pocket or even inside my waistband. I think that covers most reasons people open carry. bob

Those aren't mine, just a couple I found that could be the cause for the hangups. If mine was doing that, the not smooth, I would be calling Dillon on Monday to discuss it with them. I have had nothing but stellar service from Dillon over the years. bob

I have one one of the older style and one of the newer styles. They both seem to operate as well as the other. I have had no issues with the new style. Here's a couple of videos I found, I think as long as everything is aligned properly it should work just fine...

I love my Ruger M77 MKI chambered in 220 Swift. Probably a little much for urban pests but it works like a champ on rockchucks and 'yotes. I have never changed the scope, it still wears a Weaver K4W that just fits the gun perfect for the period (1976). Like you, I wish it was left handed also...
