Congrats! They are great revolvers. I happened to run into the set of magnas that I put on the one posted in your other thread. I really like them with a grip adapter.

Here are a couple of pics of mine (this is the worse of the two sides). I swapped out the rubber grips for a set of high horned diamond magnas and just put a BK grip adapter on it.

I bought a five screw CM with Pachmeyer grips about 18 months ago I'd guess. I paid $250. It was a security guard gun and had healthy holster wear at the muzzle an on the cylinder, but is mechanically in wonderful shape. I'll post some photos when I can so you have an idea of the finish.

I have a set of k-frame targets but it probably is more of a hassle to get them to you. You may find a gunsmith or LGS around you that has a bunch of old grips. Mine are newer (1980s vintage). I really prefer the magnas with a grip adapter. You might think about getting one of the BK adapters.

Mike, I realized the OP didn't give us much to go on, but my thoughts were along with what Todd said. I just figured anything in the condition the OP described would be worth that.

I'm a little surprised to see people say $250. Is this because it's a private sale? I'm guess I'm expect these to go for more because IMHO they are more desirable than the police trad-ins that are on the market for $250-300.

Congratulations, they are great guns. Mine is 2559xx. This thread made me take a quick picture of mine with my cell phone at work. It has a BK Grip Adapter on it. The holster is a cheap, but serviceable, Blackhawk pocket holster. It's loaded because I'm carrying it today.

I have one made in '51. It is a joy to shoot and I would never sell it.

FWIW, I saw a two inch fish hook hammer version tagged for $399 in my area earlier this year. It did not linger long in that dealer's cabinet.

Sorry, my gun has the pre-war hammer block so I was curious if a transitional hammer would work in it. Is there a place to get pre-war style hammers for a k-frame?

Am I correct in assuming a hammer from a transitional gun will work in a pre-war gun, but not the other way around?
