    Picked up a 4” 586 No dash that had been updated firing pin. It came to me with pachmayr grips. It has some holster wear but in overall good condition.

    Have you tried heat? Get a blow dryer and heat the wood surrounding the sleeve. This should cause the wood to swell and would be the least intrusive. If heat don’t work by itself.     I agree with Jeff. while 10 yrs is not old for ammo, if the ammo was stored in and area the had temperature changes could cause these failures. To be safe I would measure the chambers.

    In some of the pics, the trigger and hammer look blue. I’ll update once in hand. For the re-blue the revolver is stamped 2 7 1 B. Because of its age I will be getting it lettered. I’ll know 100% once in hand. This will be my first 44 special!
