Why have a serrated exposed button to enable it to be used as a release if it's just a stop. My wife had a pk380 that only had an internal slide stop, you had to slingshot the slide after loading a fresh mag. still trying to determine which works better for me.... slide release or slingshot...

The MagGuts do make things smoother and easier... to me they are more reliable than the factory mags. I witnessed someone's factory 8 rnd mag follower sticking as it came to the top causing feed issues with the last few rnds. He had to dissemble it, clean it, and use some dry graphite to get it...

Shield 9 NTS in a Raw Dog Tactical at 4 o'clock. 9+1 using MagGuts with 2 spare 9 rnd mags in a carrier in my left front pocket. May go back to OWB when cooler weather gets here when I can wear a light jacket.

I put the rubber ones on my shield and removed them the same day. they ruined that "fits like a glove" feel of my shield in my hands. I think it has plenty of texture for a secure grip as is. Although they made a huge improvement on my wife's pk380. So they do work great...just didn't like them...

I edc a Shield 9 nts with MagGuts kit in the extended mag.... so I have 9+1, not too far off from the 9c. The 9c feels too chunky to me... the Shield just fits nicely and is just an excellent shooter. either one is a great choice.... whichever one feels right to you.

pull back on the slide then depress the slide lock. the pressure of the recoil spring holding the slide against the lock combined with the mag spring pressure pushing up on it makes it difficult to release.

Sounds kinda like the Shield to me.... am i missing something?

My Shield 9 has separation anxiety when I'm not carrying or shooting it.... I may have to get a Shield .40 to keep it company. I understand the autopilot feeling.... with the XS Big Dot sights I just pull the gun up and that big white ball just seems to lock on target... up close and shooting...

The MagGuts are great. not only adding an extra rnd but seem to make loading smoother and easier.

Nothing needed but lots of ammo.... I did add XS Big Dot sights and MagGuts for +1 in my mags.

I installed mine myself. used a brass punch to remove the originals.... they were in pretty tight. just be careful, work slow and protect the slide with tape. wasn't too hard of a job. I'm sure a quality sight pusher would make it much easier.

Installed Big Dots on my Shield a few weeks ago. I'm really loving them. Been shooting steel plates... makes it easy to get on target and get quick hits on the plates. Nice shooting there Dkin

This is my 4th attempt and I'm very pleased with the result. I am enjoying the learning process so far... I'm addicted! I have learned a lot from the many experts here and want to say thanks and welcome any criticism or helpful hints. Next project.... double snap on mag pouch.

I had thought my wife would love my Shield but doesn't care for mainly how it fits her hand and the heavy spring racking the slide. She bought a CCP as soon as we could find one and she loves it. I like shooting it too but I prefer my Shield much more as it fits me perfect.
