    .357 MAX

I have the Ruger Super Blackhawk in the 357 max. I love the cartridge. Have not done any handloading for it yet but am thinking about it. Any good recipes for the 180 gr. jhp for whitetails?

Loaded some .44 Magnum with H110 and standard primers...

I load 23 grains of 296 with 240gr,XTPs using standard WLP primers as recommended by my Hornady load book. I have no problems using them all year around and have taken several nice whitetaik in some cold weather without any problems. While I have not chronographed them they do a great job on...

two part question 44 mag ammo

My Super Redhawk loves Hornady 240 gr. XTPs over 23.5 grains of Win 296. This has done a super job for me on big whitetails here in Missouri.

    Primers!

Most everywhere online that I have found primers are selling them for about $33 per K. Thats high but when you tack on the $25 haz fee it makes it just to high for me. Best thing I have found is to try and buy at the smaller gun shops. Even though the price is about $33-$36 per K even with tax...

    Walmart Ammo

I also noticed the Walmart 22 bulk pack of Ferderal 22 LRs had jumped about $3.00 a box for the Federal 550 pack. Still cheaper than Cabelas which is selling the 525 pack of Federal LR for right at $20.00 per box.

Best "+P" .44 Special Factory Load for Dual Use

I have killed many deer with the XTPs in both 240 and 180 grain flavors. Never had one fail to do it job on whitetail here in Missouri out of my Super Redhawk. 28-2 date?

Can anyone give me an idea of the manufacturer date on a 28-2 I traded for awhile back. It shows a lot of wear but the thing shoots like you would not believe with 158 grain JHP handloads over 5.5 grains of AA#5. The serial # is 802 space then 200969. In the first set of 3 digits the second...

Thanks for all the replys. I ordered another small primer slide and the rod that pushes the primer slide back to pick up the primer from Dillon. After installing them the problem has stopped and the slide is functioning normally again.

    dillon 550b question

I have an RCBS Rockchucker that I load all my rifle loads with but have never tried on of their progressives. If I was to buy anything new it probably would be a Dillon 1050. I will be losing my job in the next year or so due to the closing of our plant which is owned by a French company. So my...

    dillon 550b question

I did put a little bit more bend in the rod where you mentioned as one of the first corrective actions I took. While it seemed to have helped some as it sticks about 90% of the time it did not cure the problem. I think some steel wool work on the bar is worth a try while I wait for my...

    dillon 550b question

Thanks for all the comments. It is the small bar that has the problem I have probably run a little over 10,000 rounds on this bar. It sounds like a wear problem from all the post so i will order me another bar and see if that solves the problem. If it was a defect I know that dillon would take...

    dillon 550b question

I am having a problem with the primer slide on my 550b. When I pull the handle down and the primer slide moves outward to pick up a new primer I am having problems. The slide is stopping short by less than 1/8th of an inch probably more like a 16th of an inch from full extension and doesn't...

I like 15 grains of AA#5 under a 240 grain XTP. This is a pleasure to shoot and highly accurate in my Super Redhawk.
