I have a 625 w/ 5" bl, as someone mentioned get a lot of moon clips and tools to load and unload them, then go enjoy. You sir are bitten by the 625 bug, what a great virus to have. clint

Hogue Grips I use these on my 686 work well.

I have a 686 4", great revolver fun to shoot with reduced loads. Arthritic hands do not cotton to full house loads any more. Welcome and enjoy.

Gunvault Gunvault I keep this on a book case beside my bed. I keep my XD40 on top at night just in case. When the grandchildren come over in the safe it goes. Works well for me.

Welcome for a fellow Georgian, age has a way of taking its tole on us "seasoned" shooters. Between poor eyes and arthritis I do not shoot as often but still find it quite enjoyable. Hope all of your visits to the S&W forum are fruitful. Clint

I have a 625-8 with a 5" bbl I wish it was 4 but this is what I have. After years of "chasing" after fired 45 acp brass it is a pleasure to load and unload the little wheel. Clint

See if you can find a S&W 625 with a 4" bbl. Big N-frame but shoots incredibly well. Good luck with your search. Clint

Just bought a 625-8 5" <$500.00 otd. Love that pistol, buy it you can always "turn it" if it is not to your liking. Keep in mind the extra's, Moon clips, loader, de-mooner, man it seems like it never ends. But worth every penny..:D Demooner Moon Clip Loader Moon Clips Have fun and be safe...

Tucomac, I have a 625-8 and with moon clips some of the primers seem "too hard" for double action. I solved this by only using federal primers in reloading for my Moonie, I have heard and read that 45 auto rim is the way to go if you use it for self defense. DPX 45 auto rim Clint
