Have not yet while carrying, but if I do I will act the same as the few times I have been stopped in the past. That officer will meet the friendliest, most cooperative driver of his day. And we will both go home that night. Arguing, and or fighting with law enforcement? Might help to hum a few...
If the Shield fits in some of those holsters that fit the Glock G26, I would be tempted to see if the Shield carries well in the Glock Sport/Combat holster. Perhaps someone who has the Shield can attempt this and let the audience know if this is possible. Thanks & Cheers.
My advice is to start with the 40 S&W - a superior defensive round over the 9mm. Just start your shooting sessions with milder loadings, and advance to hotter loads when you are able. Good Luck.
Greetings,
Recently spotted a used Sigma (not sure of caliber) with a "sand" colored frame. Very attractive with the stainless slide. Anyone aware of the "exclusiveness" of this color scheme? Thanks in advance - cheers.
I had some extraction problems with my used SW40VE. S&W fixed this at no charge, and pistol now works great. As much as I like - and own four - Glocks, the Sigma feels much more natural in the hand. Cheers
Think this is to replace Sigma, not just augment pistol that is nearly identical in function, looks, and price. Also perhaps to diminish the effect of the early bad Sigmas.
Like them both, but find that my SW40VE feels better in the hand than my G23, and certain parts of the Smith look better than the Glock, and certainly exhibits less recoil flip than the 23. But just have the feeling that the Glock is more reliable, has more models in the lineup, and many more...
I posted on this site that I was looking to buy a slightly used SW40VE mag. and a member contacted me. I also posted on Glock Talk, and the same seller saw it there. So ask in many places - there is usually someone with something to sell. Good Luck
Just returned from firing the repaired SW40VE - happy to report that all is well with this pistol. What a deal: $219 for the gun; $17 for a second magazine - and $10 postage to S&W for the warranty repairs.
Received Sigma from S&W after three week turnaround. They replaced extractor, repaired barrel (which I assume means boring out chamber a wee bit to ease extraction), and without being asked - replaced my beat-up rear sight. Great customer service: will report back after firing tests.
Recently purchased a used SW40VE. Extraction fine cycling rounds manually, but firing another story. Spent cartridges (perhaps 4 of 5 rounds fired) remained in chamber. Gun store where purchased returning to S&W for warranty repair. Other than that, liked the weapon. Great ergonomics, less...
To be specific, the holster is the one sold by Glock. One Sport/Combat is used for all model G's except for "wide framed" G20, G21, G30, G29. Other size fits those models. I bought mine for $10. used, and is a great deal.
