We have a Wal-Mart near Hickory, NC ( in Taylorsville, NC) about 15 miles away that has always carried reloading supplies (shotgun and pistol, rifle) powder, primers, bullets, tumblers&media...the works. The only one for miles that I know of though. I think when I asked a associate he said it...

    old westerns question

Quote:"We were guards together at lockheed. He may still be there if he hasnt retired yet." I just caught that part. Was that Lockheed in Georgia by any chance? I had a uncle to retire from there. He is 90 years old and still drawing a pension from that place. If I could be so lucky.

    old westerns question

That is one of my favorite all time Gunsmoke episodes. He is great in this role(with his quarter grained bedded) Sharps rifle. It had one of my favorite actresses in it playing his "to be" girlfriend (Gretchen Corbett) who played Beth Davenport on The Rockford Files. I could marry her for...

    442/642 or LCR?

I fire Hornady Critical Defense +P in my LCR for practice and never bothered by the recoil. I guess recoil just feels different to each of us according to our hand strength and hand size. Best to shoot each for yourself, and then come to a decision. As to the M&P 340, that was not in the...

    442/642 or LCR?

LCR and never look back. Have owned, shot, and carried both. This is the easiest (drop in your pants pocket) and carry gun I ever had. Now if you are going to holster carry all the time, well just take your pick.

    Montana Gold bullets

Using MG 115gr HP 9mm, and like them better than anything else I have ever used. All I ever buy for 9mm now. Beware though, this is not a "true" hollow point bullet per their website. In other words, it will not expand like a normal hollow point. I only use them for target shooting.

I have a Lee Turret press at least 25 years old, and have loaded thousands upon thousands rounds on it and still using the original plastic indexing gear that came installed on it. S&W 442 vs. Ruger LCP Revolver

People, not trying to come off as a butt hole, but we need to get over the alloy/aluminum and plastic (polymer) thing. Guns have been using these materials for decades now. Glock, Beretta, and Mossberg shotguns come to mind with remarkable results. How many cherrished 1911,s can claim the...

S&W 442 vs. Ruger LCP Revolver

I own and like S&W revolvers and semi-autos so not bashing S&W. I purchased both a 442 & a LCR revolver and after carrying both daily (alternating), I actually preferred the LCR. 15oz. (442) compared to 13.5oz. (LCR) may not seem like much but I could tell a difference. I do just drop into my...

This guys fell off of his M&P40 after 4th shot. About 1:30 seconds into the video. He bought the gun used and found out it had a cracked slide, so sent back to S&W who fixed it even though he was not the original owner. But after getting it back is when the white dot went flying. hickok45's...
