What was this Model 66 I used to have?

A few months ago I purchased a Model 10-5 and someone had done a hatchet job trying to bob the hammer. I went to e-bay in search of a full hammer and did see one seller who advertised several hammers for sale with "no single action notch", I passed on that but that might be how that worked.

Just picked up a 629-6 (Power Port) today with box, papers, fired cartridge included. Now for the question: On the box end the letter are: 06-A2-LG-GR-BP-SA-SP-FS-CS-ZS. Can anyone explain these codes? I know I have a 629 with a 6 1/2" barrel and power port with rubber grips. All info...

I can't remain quiet any longer!

SD-40VE I put a Packmayer sleeve on my SD 40 and after about a year installed an Apex trigger kit (it really didn't lighten the trigger but did smooth it). The SD feels great, shoots great takedown is easy and it eats anything I feed it. Based on price I don't know it's not the best bargain going.

    64-5 Info

Looking at a 64-5 S&W 4" barrel. Couple of questions. It has the new style cylinder release, does anyone know when S&W switched to the new style. #2 Does anyone know if this revolver is +P capable/safe. Thanks all. Love this forum, very informative.
