    Looking at an ar

I'm also in Virginia and it bothers me that I can't use my AR15 to hunt deer. I have always hunted deer with 00 buck shot that is less effective than my AR but legal. If I wanted to go hunting now, I would use my 12 gauge with sabot slugs in my rifled barrel with rifle sights. The range and...

I shoot the cheapest stuff I can find and I have had no problems at all. I shoot a lot of Perfecta, White Box and even some aluminum.

    SD9VE price question, cc problem.

I bought mine on sale for $289.99 and it has been flawless. Mine is bone stock and the trigger has improved now that I have 800 or so rounds through it. It is so similar to a Glock 19 that it is spooky when you look at them side by side.

    Sd9ve sights off

I thought my sights were off when I got my SD0VE a couple of years ago. When I learned to properly shoot, they are fine. Go to Youtube and search for low and left. Some of the videos are good and some are no so good but you can learn to shoot accurately by taking their advice. I didn't have...

    Circa 1970 Model 36

By chance, I was at my son-in-law's father's house today and he showed me his 60s era Model 36. It has had less than a box shot through it and looks new and he still has the box. He ordered it for $100 and he paid the person who ordered it for him $10. I offered him twice his money back but...

    Best Range Ammo

I shoot the cheapest stuff I can find other than Tula. Winchester white box, Perfecta, Blazer Brass, it doesn't matter. I have not had any problems in just under 1,000 rounds. They all go bang every time.

    Conceal carry

The SD9VE is extremely close in both size and weight of the Glock 19. Beside my son-in-law's Gen 3 Glock 19, you would be amazed at how close they are.

    SD9VE Warranty

I suspect your definition of cheap is "Less profit for the gun shop".

I went and looked a the removed plastic one. The dots are straight.

I did the same thing. The plastic and metal look just alike so I suspect my improvement in shooting is all in my head.

Any other 60 year olds looking for birth year guns?

Found mine today The first gun I ever owned was a J. C. Higgins 22 single shot rifle my Dad got from Sears for $10.88. I traded for another J. C. Higgins today that was made in my birth year of 1947. It is a model 20 12 gauge pump action shot gun made by High Standard. Still looks and shoots...

Should I clean it or should I keep going?

I think frequent cleaning is overrated. The conditions they are stored in is what is important. I have 2 long guns from the 40s, one handgun from the 60s and one from the 70s that I am sure weren't cleaned frequently and they look and function fine. They were kept dry and in a heated...

    SD9VE vs. Sar B6P 9mm compact

I friend of mine is trying to sell his Mini Cooper on Craigslist and was complaining about all the scammers who where texting him offers for his car and he didn't trust using that for selling anything. I told him I had bought and sold many times on Craigslist and didn't have problems because I...

    SD9VE + Upgrades Review

I guess I'm an old KISS kind of guy. If it ain't broke...... Anyway, I bought a new SD9VE and a new Taurus TPC. Other than cleaning and lubing them, I didn't do anything. the more I shoot them, the smoother they and the triggers work.

Question for those with G19 guide rods in their SDVEs

It might wear it a little. Which would you rather pay to replace?

I recall it also. Apparently, it wears the metal where it rubs.

    New SD9 owner

Hello from another Ken. Mine is bone stock and I like it a lot. I bought it to replace a Hi-Point C9 and it was a good choice. I do fine with the trigger after I relearned to shoot it since it is so much lighter than the C9. I tended to shoot it low and left and limpwrist it. YouTube videos...

I just went by the video to trim it and didn't pay a lot of attention to what he did otherwise. Mine works fine and it solved the problem for me.
