Dust 'em off guys.

The 3in heavy barrel K frame in either round or square butt should be a easy choice if you have one sitting around. Or a used Australian police model.

The rules require a 3 inch or less barrel. They measure in at 2.81 inches from the front of the cylinder.

So, the following guns qualify:
Model 10
Model 13
Model 64
Model 65

Advantage= 6 rounds instead of 5
use your Comp III's for K frame
And these guns are just as accurate as a 4 incher.

I classified with my wife's 65 round butt in BUG back in April and loved it.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought the revolver had to fit into a "Bug Box". The dimensions of the Bug Box allowed 2 inch round butt K's to fit, but 2.5 and 3 inch K/Ls wouldn't.

Be sure you use the right box size. For BUG-S, the box is 7 1/4" long, but BUG-R is 8 3/4".
A Model 65 fits just fine with a 3" barrel.

As I said, I may be wrong ... and was.

The Bug Box has been lengthened from the one (years ago) that we used. That one was 7.00" long (instead of 8.75"). A 2" model 64 K-Frame round butt and a 38 Special framed (not 357 Mag framed) 3" J-Frame round butt were the biggest revolvers that would fit. Also the particular grip installed on those 2 models could either allow it to fit or prevent it from fitting.

These are "Back-up Guns?"

hmmmph.

John

(Sorry, no offense intended, but... please. What do the Service revolvers look like?)

And, 38 ounces?? What are they backing up, M14's?
