Hello all, I'm new to the forum. I want to install a magpul handguard on my rifle, but I don't know what I need for installation and all those things. Is there anyone on here who can tell me what I need to buy, and perhaps direct me to a tutorial of some kind? It would be greatly appreciated

They sell a barrel nut tool to remove barrel (a "must-have"), plus other pieces to add a a new barrel nut to hold a different handguard. They show a kit for free float handguards, but I think you'll need to do a little digging to find out what you need to add a Delta Ring assembly (from another supplier, since I believe their offerings are for free float handguards only.)

Pm sent. I've been trying to figure out which kit is needed for a while now. Not sure the difference between the regular kit and the 1a kit.

I put the difference between the two in the 1A description.
The standard 1 requires no modification to your rifle and leaves a 9/32" gap between the back of the hand guard or delta ring and the front of the picatinny rail.
The 1A requires permanent modification to the timing lugs and brings the gap down to about 3/32 inch.

Here is a thread I where I posted the difference between the gaps on my rifle. Sorry, I don't have a close-up of the gap with the regular adapter.
The gap is too huge with the standard adapter IMO.
