M-PRO 7 gun cleaner and gun oil

I use the oil and think its great. I was using break free CLP for a long time, but there in no comparison. I still use hoppes for cleaning, (never tried their cleaner) but I would HIGHLY recommend the oil. It's good stuff.

Apparently I took a wrong turn. Does anyone know the way back to the revolver forums?

Oh. While I’m here, I haven’t used M-Pro 7’s oil, but I’ve been using M-Pro 7 solvent for about 10 years. It’s no match for the discontinued good old Hoppie’s #9 with cancer causing benzene, but none of the other currently available solvents that I’ve tried have been any better at softening the crud left behind by .22 LRs. M-Pro 7 solvent has the advantage of no odor and they advertise it as non-toxic.

If you’re one of those who likes the odor of Hoppie’s #9, whatever difference there is in effectiveness isn’t worth changing brands.

Hoppie’s #9’s odor isn’t all bad. The first time a friend opened the door of a young lady’s car he caught a whiff of Hoppie’s #9, looked in, saw her Hoppie’s #9 air freshener hanging from the mirror and immediately knew he’d found his future wife.

Speaking of cars, I’ll get turned around and head back to the revolver forums.

mpro7 cleaner is good if you can find it for a decent price, recently ive seen the price go up at a few places ive previously bought from.

as mentioned a major selling point is the lack of scent and its non toxic. i wish it were a little stronger but they also sell a copper solvent which works great as a 1-2 combo

i havent tried the oil but hear good things.

I use Mpro 7 cleaner for all my guns and my ccw LCP. I use the CLP but that has been discontinued for over a year, I'm just using the rest and switching to the LPX gun oil / cleaner. It all works and it works extremely well. I bought a froglube kit but haven't tried it yet.

I have recently become a faithful follower of Froglube. That stuff just works and not nasty or messy even if gets on your hands. All of my firearms run silky smooth after the first treatment.

MPro7

I have been using all of their products for many years. They used to manufacture all sorts of cleaning patches and sizes. I would like to see them remanufacutre the patches. Their products reduce the cleaning time and protect the firearms until next cleaning. I purchase their cleaner/degreaser in a .32 oz spray bottle that is a little cheaper. Their products may be a little more expensive but you get what you pay for. The Military and many law enforcement agencies are using their product and having great results. I recommend mend highly to my students with some free samples and a brochure on how to clean various firearms.

I alternate between Break free CLP and M-Pro 7 LPx depending on how I feel and the amount of shooting done. M-Pro 7 LPx is a great LP and I don't hesitate recommending it.

I use M-Pro 7 cleaner exclusively. It works well for me, is non-toxic, and has no odor which means my wife lets me clean my guns in the family room in front of the TV. :) What's not to like?
