Just got off the phone with promag. I was told they are destroying all mags that were returned for repair. Which was my mag! But they will give a credit on their site foe ppl that didn't buy from them. They can not get the 32 round mag manufactured anymore. The lady I spoke to said she was just sending emails out to everyone as we spoke about this. Said she still had over 5000 more emails to send out. Thank god I got a 30 round mag for my M&P 15 in exchange while i had her on the phone. Anyway just figured I would let everyone know.

They stopped production several weeks ago, after they were sued by S&W for patent infringement. I guess one could conclude this latest action is an admission of guilt and was cheaper than defending against the suit. The logical conclusion is Plinker Tactical will do likewise.

Too bad they (ProMag) couldn't work out a licensing arrangement with S&W. Their mag was a quality product. PT being history is no big loss, IMHO.

Yep, so now it is official though. Guess I am lucky that 1 of the 2 mags I bought in April work. But it actually holds 34 instead of 32. I thought I miscounted. So I emptied my mag and sure enough 34 shells. I am not complaining about that at all though.

Just called my gun shop while reading this, asked if they wold put one back for me he said sure but they had 9 on display & more in the back.
Wonder how many I should get ?

Hum... very glad I got six of the ProMags. Converted them from 10 rds. to 32 rds. Excellent magazines. Guess now the only option is 25 rd. magazines. To bad. It was nice to be able to have some choices.

If PT goes out.. does that mean they wont bother with charging handles because the magazines were all they had going for them?

Who knows. Their charging handles, unless they have changed their manufacturing practices, are trashy - rough machining marks everywhere, very loose and sloppy fit in the upper. Either NDZ or TactiCool22's handles are far superior products and properly fit.

The only decent product PT has, IMHO, is their ambidextrous charging handle latch. The need to sell it separately.
