Default Military Surplus CLP "Larg size"

Has anyone used the large bottle that you can sometimes get in Army Navy surplus stores? This stuff is green in color and comes in a large bottle with big letters CLP on it. Is it ok for my M&P pistols?I also have shot guns rifles and a AR and other 1911 hand guns. I have never used the surplus CLP. When it first came out I think the name was Break Free then it was clear like gun oil but with teflon in it this is going back some 30 to 35 years.. .Now I see they added the CLP to and it's green what's up with that? Also what's a good price for I'm guessing a pint or so of the stuff .. not sure how much is in it the larg bottle I had seen didn't really look at it when I was there.. Was thinking of trying it now. Don't think I would ever run out unless it got spilled or something..George

I know Break Free has changed the formula to make it more "ecological" & safer for your lungs, George. Otherwise it's the same stuff. The CLP is an abbreviation for "Clean, Lubricate, Protect". I don't know what the military stuff is because the CLP I have is amber colored. I can't recall any cleaner that was green when I was in the Army. Maybe it was. I've been using the stuff with good results. It seems to put a nice lubricating coat on the slide rails even if you can't actually see an oily finish & it cleans the gun very well & easy. I like it.

When you use the stuff write up a report.

Thanks, I didn't get back there yet hope they have some left. Yep the stuff was that funky light bright green color slime looking gunk.. I'm 90% sure it had CLP on it in big white letters.Never seen one supper sized before! If I can get some I'll report back after uses provided they don't what some ridiculous price for it.. George
