Was at the Tampa Gun Show Saturday and see that the housing making the Glock pistol into a braced pistol with a Science Fi look is now avail for the Shield (CAA MCK design), (hope I described it to make sense). Anyone bought one and if so what is your opinion of it. About $250 for the base model then the add ons go on endlessly. Like the look but wonder if it functions OK. Appreciate any reports on same before I waste the money.

Will the next one be for a High Point C9, or a Kel-Tec PF-9...? (With extended 12-round magazines, of course!)

Cheers!

While I like CAA MCK design in general, it seems kind of silly for the M&P Shield due to the lesser capacity of the Shield.

The CAA MCK makes more sense on double-stack pistols with higher capacity magazines like the Full-Size/Compact M&P or SD due to its utility as Home Defense setup, but with the Shield it just doesn't quite click with me as it goes against the whole point of the Shield as a lightweight, slimline, micro-compact pistol for Concealed Carry.

I agree with most of the above comments but still was wondering if anyone had built one and if so their opinion of it. I currently have an AR 9mm with 32 rounds per mag so that wasn't the issue. Just wanted an overall opinion from anyone using one. I also have a Sig 365 but so far they don't make a unit for it but yes 15 rounds would be nice.

My brother bought an MCK for his Glock 17 a few months ago and he loves it. He has it all decked out with a flashlight and a laser, makes a handy little Home Defense setup.

If they made one for the older generation Sigmas then I would buy one for my SW40VE without a second thought, but for the Shield? Nah, doesn't really offer anything.

I have Micro Roni for my G17. Haven't shot it yet. Easy to use. Pistol goes in in 5 seconds and comes back out in 5 seconds. No modification to the gun. Seems well built. Put a red dot and a light on mine. The only problem I've found, thus far, is the QD sling mount seems out of spec. The sling that came with it will work, but my Magpul MS4's QD stud won't seat. The groove is too deep inside. I'm gonna file off the top of the mount to decrease the distance until the sling will work. After testing, if I'm comfortable with it's reliability, it will probably be the primary HD gun.

What is the reason anyone would buy one of those (for any 9mm pistol, not just the Shield)?

I don't get it.
Stability for long distance shots when you need something compact, but dont want to pay a permission fee for an sbr or something like that. Instructor Zero tends to like them, IIRC.

I work the local gun shows, & see plenty of people buying them. Just wonder if these will be considered a brace, & suffer the same fate down the road. OTOH, I didn’t see many braced AR pistols sell this past weekend. GARY.

Because it looks so tacti-cool and it is something to spend some of that government money on.

I expect they will be reclassified.
