Alpha Tactical still lists it for $29 + $5 shipping in the "Used and New" area (in brand new condition).
Grabbed 1, thanks!

404 - Document Not Found
Sling is now $39 bucks, free shipping.
Spend over 1k on an AR15... buy a decent sling before the cheap one leaves your rifle on the ground accidentally.

I bought one of the cheaper ms2 style, it came with good metal fasteners plus it wraps around my arm and locks in better than the thicker magpul's. If I were running and gunning I would probably invest in a heavier duty sling but I have been using the plain black Allen slings for years with no issues. I like the way it easily adjusts by sliding the handle up or down. I could use it as a one point but I rarely go one point so I use it as a two. for about $18 I really like it and have no complaints. They have been dealing with textiles for thousands of years in Asia so I figure it cant be all that bad and it hasn't been.

"Spend over 1k on an AR15... buy a decent sling before the cheap one leaves your rifle on the ground accidentally."
... Very wise words of advice that I think everyone needs to heed whether or not the AR15 is above or below the 1K figure.
As a bearer of a rifle, one needs a good sling to keep said rifle at the ready whenever the time calls for its use. Cheap knock-off slings or slings of sub-par quality are to be avoided like the plague.
I suggest spending more on a well constructed sling and avoiding any mishaps down the line. Know that in doing so, you'll bring yourself some peace of mind as well as reassurance that the rifle is going to be there when you need it through thick and thin.

If the red font isn't hard enough to read, but just because you bought something with a "name" attached to it, doesn't necessarily mean it isn't made in the same factory as the cheaper one. Also a blanket statement like that is not always true. Just because I didnt spend $40 on a sling does not mean its junk. You dont know how another person uses his sling. As I stated before, I have used the inexpensive "Allen" brand slings on my hunting rifles for years. The furthest I carry my rifle on a sling is from the house to the truck. But keep believing it, it works for you!

WOW
I think Grover... AKA...oneyeopn... Has done more for this Forum as any 1 person has
As for you mr august242... Your Fonts and Colors are a bit much... Read any of the threads and NO-ONE has founts and colors like you..
Obviously you are attracting attention to yourself and are trying to stand Out... good for you
I for one have learned alot from some great people... Grover being one of them... on this forum...
be careful where you Tread and how you attack people becouse YOU think yer an expert...
these threads used to be void of the AR15 and THR forum Better-Than-YOU posters.... But seems the Government SCARE of no guns and No ammo has changed that.. and now even our beloved S&W Forum is going down the Drain...
I remember when there was never an attack or sarcastic comment ever made to posters... yes we all had Fun and it was Taken as suck.... but these are different times for sure....
And i for one am appalled at was has happened over the last few months
Anyways... My rant is over... back to our fun and Entertaining clubhouse that some of us Enjoy now

Whoa- I just read this thread and I am surprised. August, I hate to say this to you. I don't know how to break it to you gently so I will be blunt. Your use of the red font and underline is really difficult to read! I really have to look hard at what you are posting. Because of the color of your font, I find it very hard to take you serious. I have been on this site for awhile and I don't really remember anyone using a different color font. Another thing, what someone buys is their own choice. If it works for some then great. I do not look down at anyone for choosing a red dot sight simply because I prefer a scope! It's the chevy vs ford argument.
About grover- That guy has helped not only me but others as well on this forum. I have heeded his advise several times because he has "been there, done that!" His advice is one of the reasons this forum is so good. If you don't believe me, then look at his past postings. Btw- I have yet to see any good sound advice from you-yet.
My advice is to relax, enjoy the company and learn about the same topics that interest so many of us.

August, I'm going to have to agree with the others...I even asked you to change you font colors when you first posted as well.
As far as Oneyeopn, I don't know if you noticed that eagle, globe and anchor icon by his name, but that is a clue that the man knows his way around a rifle. I think you should go look at some of his postings, especially the ones where he has posted his targets and video of him shooting. Oneyeopn doesn't always use the most expensive of equipment, but he gets consistent results. It goes to show that it is the indian, not the arrow.
I do agree with you that a well made sling is important if you are going to carry the rifle on a sling. However, I have not seen the sling that Grover purchased, so I can not comment on the quality. He did state that if he was "running and gunning" he might choose a different one, but for general carry and slinging up, it works for his use. If it was garbage, Grover would tell you that as well, so that you don't waste your money. I can tell you though that many folks dismissed the M&P 15 Sport based on price, but again, look at the results a rifleman can achieve.
