the Bren Ten was a huge ***, but it still looked cool for the time and had some really advanced features. The EA 10mm is based off its frame design.

The SW 45s he carried are cool as well. I on the other hand love the Smiths 9s, 40s/ 10mms if I wanted a 45 and I have only one then it is the best frame slide combination for the 45 or AKA the 1911. Smith is making some sweet 1911s now and they have really come along way with them.

Last year I read an account of where, in a Florida bar/restaurant, Don Johnson was trying to get a woman (whom he did not know) to touch his rig and was almost beat to a pulp by her husband.
Let's just say that on atleast one shoot, he did get clocked by an irate boyfriend at the door to his portable dressing room. One of the best things about being on the set, they feed the crew well.

MV is shown on one of the channels on DirecTV. Channel 308 , Cloo. Friday night at 1800. Also on CTRC, Channel 330 at 0900 on Friday.

The actual Model 645 carried by Don Johnson in seasons 3 and 4 (1986-1988) of Miami Vice. In the movie and television business this is what is known as the "Hero Gun".

But for those who don't want to go to imfdb

In Season 1 Crocket carried the Euro SIG P220 in the pilot episode. Many will point out it was marketed by Browning as the Browning BDA at the time. Okay, but it was still made by Sig-Sauer with the heel magazine release. A Detonics Pocket Nine was his backup piece in the pilot episode. that he carried in the small of his back.

For the rest of season 1 his primary sidearm was the Dornaus & Dixon Bren Ten and the Detonics Combatmaster was his backup which he carried in an ankle holster. The Detonics continued to be Crockett's backup piece for seasons 2 and 3.

In season 3 Crocket switched to the S&W M645. He carried the 645 in seasons 3 and 4. In season 4 Cockett was evidentally never shown using a backup piece.

In Season 5, the last season, Crockett switches to the Model 4506-1 as his primary and the S&W Model 6906 as his backup. He also carried the 6906 in an ankle holster.

Also Tubbs carried the S&W Model 38/49 Bodyguard as his primary throughout the run of the series. Possibly becasue Tubbs was ex-NYPD and it was felt that he should continue to carry a S&W .38 Special. Though in reality he shuld have been carrying a Model 36/37, but oh well. That's show biz for you.

After Crockett's wife is murdered he loses his grip on reality and believes he really is his cover persona Burnett. He then switches to a 2 tone SIG Sauer P220. That was at the end of Season 4 and the first few episodes of Season 5. No he doesn't kill the girl. She begs for mercy and he regains his memory.

Let us not forget the Heinie Comp SS - with Heinie's name spoken in the dialog - in "Irish Eyes."
