Looks like things at Millet have changed a lot over the past couple decades.

Back in about 1991 when I got my first S&W 4006, I was able to order Millet sights that were long enough in the base to allow me to completely remove the adjustable sights shroud and just use the long base on the Millet.

You can't seem to find any handgun sights from Millet anymore.

Anyone have a lead where I might still be able to purchase these?

Thanks in advance.

I bought a model 610 revolver a few years back that came with a Millet rear sight. One day a shooting buddy noticed the sight, and commented that they no longer manufacture the Millet sights, and also noted that these sights are in demand and that they usually bring a premium when you do find one on the used market. Sorry I can't be more help.

The days of Millet adjustable pistol and revolver sights is over. They went to scopes and red dot optics.

Precision Sales International -PSI- imports the very well made Italian LPA brand sights for many S&W models and also S&W revolvers which are drilled & tapped for scope mounts. I replaced several sets of dead tritium combat sights with the LPA units, though I don't think they make one to cover the long base on the olde 39-59-439-659 models. Check their website.

Hamilton Bowen also makes a few sights.

I have a Millet adjustable rear on my 4566 that I'm probably going to replace with the original. The front sight is too short, and I have to crank the sight all the way down to get close to on target. You might check Optics Planet. They used to have a few Millet odds and ends.

I've bought a few of their adjustable rear sights for S&W revolvers on eBay and GunBroker and ones for semi-autos are a LOT more available than the ones for revolvers.
