Each time I send some of my 3rd Gen stuff to Novak's, they impress me again! On Monday, I sent both a 915 and 6906 barrel off to Novak's to have them perform their expert 11-degree muzzle chamfer.
Today (Thursday) at 0915 PST, I get a call from Mike needing a Credit Card number, so he can send out the barrels before close of business! WOW! They received it and did the work the SAME day!
I've had them do the slide on my 659 (currently vacationing in Vermont at Karl Sokol's farm) with both a front 1911 dovetailed Tritium sight and a muzzle chamfer. The whole job cost me $165. What's better is that it was back to me in five days!
Mike and Titus are true masters. If there's any 3rd Gen work desired, these guys get it done right and quickly.
I will soon send off my Sokol-tuned 5906 slide to have it finally finished by adding a front dovetailed 1911 Tritium sight. The plentitude of 1911 sights and the clean look of them are contributing factors to WHY they're ultimately going to replace the S&W dovetailed sights on my 915-06 (915 with a 5906 slide), 5906 (pictured below), 6906. Before sending off my 1979-vintage 39-2 to Karl Sokol for "modernization", I had Amerigun do a 1911 front sight with Tritium and mount a Meprolight revolver rear Tritium blade to the rear sight. It looks better and is easier to pick up.
