I have always liked these guns, don't really know why they are just cool. I was able to grab this one in an auction today. It has been fired, which is OK because I was wanting a shooter. Comes with the case and all the goodies:

One of the prettiest guns S&W has every produced with all the combined accessories included... And one of the best buys to boot!

It has the beautiful deep and bright bluing of its era, a pinned barrel, commemorative style smooth Goncalo Alves stocks, special presentation case, the Roy Jinks book, a commemorative coin, at the time the much wished for 45 LC caliber -- all at a price at or slightly below the cost of new N frame guns today.... What's not to like!!

You made a very wise decision, IMO, and they do make great shooters especially if you re-load and cast your own bullets.

Congrats on a very nice purchase!

I remember a fellow I used to work with showing me one of around 30 years or so ago. I remember him bragging that he had never turned the cylinder on it, and had no plans to...a totally alien concept to me at the time. It was just another gun. :o

Very nice.

Let's see more pictures if you can, guys! They are beautiful guns and deserve more recognition.... Here is a consecutively numbered pair..:)

S&W 125TH Anniversary

Was at my gun shop today and made an offer on one that has been there for a year next month. I was shocked when they accepted my offer of $900.00. Will pick it up tomorrow. Has everything except the key, even all the cardboard including the shipping sleeve, box for the coin, box for the book, blue box, plastic bag for the presentation box. Doesn't appear to be fired,a couple of nicks on the grips, very slight cylinder ring. Plan to shoot it.

What is really amazing is the beautiful bluing on this gun!

How Many 125th Anniversary Guns were made?

Were there regular 25-3' s made also? Serial number on my gun is S&W4794, made when?

Thanks
