Got my 14-3 that I posted a few days ago to the range and it certainly lived up to the Target Masterpiece title. What a tack driver. Winchester 125 gr JHP +P and Western Super Match 148 gr WC were both scary accurate, even for me, which is to say I'm not the best shot in the house. These are great revolvers.

I looked at a 14-3 today that was about 90-95% with German proof marks. Holster wear only .
Not sure if it's worth $525.00 .

I guess it's all about condition, Nick. I was happy to pay $525 for mine, especially now that I believe the grips that came on it seem to be worth some money. Even without those grips I had been looking for TH/TT which this one has, so I'm glad to have it. It would be interesting to learn how the German proofs got on the gun you are looking at. If the bore and chambers looks good and the gun is in great mechanical condition I would try to get the price down and shoot the heck out of it. They are great shooters. I wish you luck. I finally got a decent picture of mine.

The shop that has it imports alot of guns from Germany . They specialize in .22 target rifles, double rifles, Korth, ect .

I guess it depends where you live on price but I bouht a 14-3 this spring that was in 98% condition for $450 and I passed on one in similiar condition a few weeks before I bought that one and it was for sale for $400. I think $525 is to high unless it's mint with all the goodies.

Here is one I bought recently (my 2nd) for 350.00. I like 14s so well I bought a spare just in case.:)

Most folks who have them would not let a good one go for less than $500, unless they are quite desperate for cash.....

The story of my life

I may have paid too much for mine but it was such a good match, condition wise and features, for my 1956/57 K-22 that I had to have it. I have seen 14's here in the Atlanta area priced higher, without TH/TT (which I like) so I jumped on this one. It has its box and instruction manual, but no tools. I plan to post the Fuzzy (or whoever made the grips) for sale to off set the price of the gun. In my case, I'm not buying these things to make money. I'd have been out of business long ago if that were the case. I buy guns that I like, and that I can afford for the pleasure of having them. Sometimes I get lucky and get a real good deal on one, and sometimes I don't. And life goes on, for a while anyway.

I have a pre 14 from the late 40's. It had a lot of honest use before I got it. It's certainly not worth what I would charge someone who wanted to buy it!! It's my feel good gun. When I can't hit with anything else I put some down range with it and feel much better. Even though I know its the gun and not the shooter!

This one came floating into the GS where I work - boss made me pay $300 for it. Have not shot it much - yet.

I had my K38 Masterpiece with 8 & 3/8" barrel plus the newly installed Ahrends Retro Combat grips, on the 15 yard range today. Sshooting 125 grain FMJ rounds seated from a rest it was awesome. Shooting offhand in SA it was not awesome but impressive for these old eyes. Great gun and I love the look and feel of these grips. (Soon I hope to make the technological jump that allows posting pictures.)

Enjoy your new 14-3; they are special!
