I just recently picked up a like new Model 15-4. No box, or paperwork. I'm sure that it's rated for +P, but I can't find anything for sure.

There is a long story associated with this gun, but too long to post here. Let's just say that a "Prodigal" son came back home after at least 30 years!

Thanks for any help.

Any S&W K, L or N-frame manufactured after 1957 can shoot +P ammo. If the model number is stamped on the frame, under the yoke, you're good to go.

Adios,

I just received an answer from S&W on my revolver. It was manufactured in 1982 and they don't recommend using +P. I find that strange as the revolver is built like a "Tank"? I usually don't use +P ammo in any of my guns, so it's a non-issue with me!
