is it ok to shoot 158g 357 mags in my new 60 pro 3"? not worrried about recoil, just if the gun is up to about 500 of these in its life time, the rest of the time will be standard rn lead .38 special loads in mag cases
You will have no problem whatsoever doing so - the gun can take it. In fact, you might find that they're not all that unpleasant to shoot . . . I shot quite a lot of 158-grain .357 Magnum through my old 3" 60-15. I actually used to carry the Buffalo Bore loading in this grain weight, that did 1300 fps from the 3" tube. Good stuff!
