1911 holsters......

so yeah, im still in that 1911 swing. been perusing around for a boyt or boyt style holster for woods carry and dang these things are through the roof! Any good alternatives out there less than 200 bucks? im really not wanting to put a lot into one yet for what im going to be using it for. even a good replica would work.

You can get Mil re-pops at Military Antiques, Military Collectibles and Militaria IMA-USA.COM or Pacific Leather and Canvas. Both are equally ok and equally cheap. They have hip or chest holsters.

Put some leather softening stuff on 'em and you're good to go.

Check out Pacific Canvas and Leather. Repro flap holsters left or right hand, (US/USN/USMC) or aviator and tanker shoulder holsters...all about $40 + postage. Very good quality.

Called Pacific maybe two weeks ago and they were OUT of several items. I was looking for a Tanker style, but TAN, not black. Certainly reasonably priced.

Visit some gun shows. There are usually a lot of used holsters at decent prices, and mostly in leather.

I know this isn't what you're looking for, but an old retired AK State Trooper made this for me when I retired from APD. It's as functionable as well as looking good.
