2.0 Performance Center front sight issue

A few years ago I picked up a Performance Center 2.0 9mm. Late in the second year of ownership the front sight snapped off while shooting an IDPA match. S&W sent a replacement which I installed. A year and a half later the same thing happened. Has anyone else had an issue with the fiber optic front site breaking?

My front sight did not break, but I did replace it with a Trijicon night sight which I like even better.

I used to shoot competition. The fiber optic itself disappearing during a stage wasn't unusual. Part of the package. If it's the sight itself, you might want to see who else might have a suitable sight. Or maybe go with a plain steel front sight.
