Inspired by a 28 found in a pawn shop thread I read earlier this week, I decided to poke my head in a couple LGS this weekend and I'm glad I did. Yesterday on my lunch I found this 39-2 from 1973 with one original mag and original box, for $469. I didn't dicker at all on the price, as I thought it was more than fair. Other than some box wear on the front of the slide, it appears to be in great shape and shot very little.

Then I saw one I've never seen before in person, with the option to buy. A UAB prefix 2213 sportsman. It was also in good shape and came with just 1 mag and no box/pouch. That's fine because it was $299. It cleaned up very nicely, and all it needed was a grip screw and a recoil spring. Both are on their way from Numrich. My wife and I are excited to put some rounds through it!

These are a couple of classics on opposite ends of the forum spectrum, but I couldn't pass them up. Everyone needs a 9 and 22 shooter in their collection. Hope everyone is having a safe and fun weekend. Cheers!

Had to double check the date of your post... those look more like 2010 prices! Well done. The little 22 pocket pistol is a new one on me, I don't remember ever seeing one. I'm not sure I would find a really practical use for one, but it's an interesting little piece and should be fun to shoot.

Congratulations,
Froggie

Very nice score on both, with some great prices too! Looks like the 2213 might have a threaded barrel, silencer anyone:) Or a nice little pocket/ankle back up.

Please let us know how your 39-2 shoots. Hope it shoots just as good as the 1st year 39-2 recently purchased from a forum member.
So far it has gobbled everything put thru it without a burp!

Good luck
Jim

The 2213/14's are great little 22's. Magazine's are at times hard to find but not impossible. Fortunitely the 422 and 41 mags work in them.

Pricey

The little "snubby" 2213/2214 are pricey. I've wanted one but the least expensive one I can find are around $500. You did very well on both...I need to visit your LGSs.
