I had a chance to purchase a 2" Model 34 square butt from a buddy's brother-in-law's estate. I thought it would be good for teaching new shooters how to handle a snub nose revolver in our concealed carry classes. Then I started working with my older grand son with a Ruger Bearcat. He just didn't like the balance. So I brought the Model 34 since one of my other buddies has used a 2" Model 34 to start shooting lessons with his sons. Of course my grand son loved it. So I sold off the Bearcat in hopes of finding another 2" for my students. Forum member sw702 had a beautiful nickel plated 2" Model 34 on Gunbroker. I was high bidder on it. It is truly the neatest looking gun I own. I thought my problems were solved until forum member stiab posted about seeing a 2" Model 63 for sale in North Carolina. Saturday I picked it up from my FFL buddy.
The nickel 34 will go into the safe and the 63 will be used with students. Here are the pictures:

Steve thanks for the heads up and Mike thanks for the great extra set of grips.
