Speaking of .22, I picked up a new to me Brno Model 5 Deluxe .22 this week. I had it out today. It shoots minute of a jackrabbit.

the Brno is on the bags.

OOOooo... that's a real "rifle-y looking" rifle Bill Bates. I like its profile.

Wouldn't look the other way if you offered the others to me though. That one looks like it'd kick a little harder than a .22.

Here's another old Remington that isn't often seen, the Model 34. This one's an even more uncommon variant, the Model 34 "NRA Target" with its factory provided Lyman 55R sight.

The Remington Model 34 was only made from 1932 to 1935 and has the keenest lifter/carrier design which presents the cartridge to the chamber, all without the bullet bumping the chamber as the round is fed. The system feeds like a champ. The lifter design was carried over to the .22 Long Rifle successor model the 341 which also was only made from 1936 to 1940 when it was discontinued in favor of the Model 512. That model soldiered on into the 1960s. It is assumed that the Model 512's feeding system is simpler to manufacture and perfectly satisfying, if less precise.
