Sorry, guys. Not a converted M1 Carbine. I bought a very lightly used barrel, stock and forend assembly that converts a T/C action into a neat little .22 Jet rifle. The barrel is carbine length. I mounted a 4X Leupold compact scope and all is well in the world - it's a handy little package.
Shot it with factory ammo out to 200 yards and it did well enough to suit me, although I think 200 is going to be the high-end for range.
Someplace I've got some lightweight ballistic-tip bullets in .223 I'm thinking of working up a load with. I'm going to try a little light-duty verminatin' down on the farm, with crows number 1 on the list.
