.22 Magnum Ammo

Rarely on the shelf in my area. I buy it when I see it, but usually wind up letting someone else have it. Have seen 2 CCI 200 round boxes in the last 6 months at Academy. That's it. My only use for it is a Ruger single six cylinder that I use when helping friends get comfortable with handguns.

Store shelves around here have been mostly void of .22WMR and .22LR ammo for quite some time. When it does show up the prices are ridiculous.
A couple of weeks ago on another forum a fellow that works for CCI posted that he primed 600,000 rounds on his shift. So there is still hope that more will become available and hopefully at more reasonable prices.

Luckily I haven't needed to buy any rimfire ammo since it started becoming scarce and prices climbed. My supply of .22WMR is still good, and with the exception of the Winchester Supreme most was under $10 a box.....$3.99 Armscor, $6.99 Fiocchi and $9.95 for Hornady 30gr V-Max.

Sadly the days of $12-$15 a brick of .22LR plinking ammo are long gone too, and my supply is dwindling.....

Around here there's always 22LR and 17HMR on the shelves. I am a big fan of 22WMR but from what I have noticed the past few years it tends to come around maybe twice a year and sells out quick. The last time I saw it on shelves was right before Thanksgiving and before that it was around April-May. I believe this may be a round that manufacturers do not make continuously all year long.

Gee, I don't why there aren't any in stores. 😆

Ever since the end of 2012 and 22lr not being found on the shelves(at least around here).
22lr is not maturing enough to grow into 22wmr.:D

22lr is hard to find around here and I can't remember the last time I seen 22 mag on the shelf. I only have have about 5,000 round of 22lr left and I buy it when i can find it on the shelf but it usually has the sign up that says one box per day per customer. I sometimes use ammoseek to find some.
