I have a 25-5 in nickle....looks original, not a re-do by appearance. I read that these were only produced in blue so am curious about my assessment of this piece. Would appreciate help on this subject.

I've got the exact same gun in nickel

S&W Standard Catalog says they were made in blue and nickel. I've got two in nickel, one six inch and one four.

If factory nickel the cylinder will have a prominent N stamp beside the ejector star as well as on the inside of the grip frame. Here's a pick of my six inch 25-5.
