I bought a 26-1 45 Colt Georgia State Patrol commemoritive from the classifieds a month or so ago.
It had been advertised as having been stolen and severely messed with before being recovered.
The thief ruined the side plate and sanded off the gold inscriptions.
Here's the rub, the 26-1 is an excellent shooter. I want to turn it into my ultimate packin' pistol.
I want to have a new side plate installed, red ramp/white outline sights installed, all new screws, an action job and then have it bead blasted and blued.
Think of a 5" 28 in 45 Colt.
Who would you recommend to do the work?
