27-2 price question

just having one with the 3 1/2 in. barrell is a plus in any condition, they just feel so nice and look so mean.i also have a mint condition 5 in. and had a 6 in. but sold it last year to my father in law,i wish i still had it too.curt.

You must have, mine was the only one at the show.... I know of Shafter, it is an old mining ghost town. I will be driving through it in about two months.

Don't drink the water... The mine has coughed up another wave of chemical nastiness I'm told...

The fella that once owned that gun rode the river before the war. When he sold me that pre-27 he told me "careful of that thing... it's dangerous...knocked many an indian off his pony..." I think it was him that was really dangerous...

yes larry,i will be at berea, hope to see ya there.what is the correct box for the 3 1/2 in. 27-2.would it be in the wood presentation cases or the two piece blue punta box or could it be either one?thanks curt.

Most model 27s came with standard hammer and trigger, service grips, and regular black sights, and blue cardboard boxes. For a couple of years around 1975 the put them up in wood presentation boxes with target hammer and trigger, target stocks.

My one and only 27-2 wearing a set of Grashorn's (Executioner) elk stag grips. I will have to letter this gun someday.

hmmm

nice score..I put down some money on a 6 inch 27 with a 6 inch pipe that the local shop has for $429. No clue what I need it for as I have a 6 inch 586 but whatever the price seems good. Same shop has a nickel 19 with a 4 inch pipe for $410. Could a person hack an inch off the barrel and use it as a carry gun?

Glad you were able to get that 27...lucky he still had it...that is a smoking price for a 27 and one with a 3 1/2 inch barrel....well you did very well
