Not really a desirable 27………….the last "good" one was the 27-2!

There was a time the -2s weren't so highly thought of because they only had 3 screws.

Heck, if it's a M27, period, it's a desirable revolver. It's sort of the poster child for S&W, grandchild of the Registered Magnum and one of the longest-running models made, if you start counting in 1935. The dash-two is the longest running of the series (20 years), so it is the most common. That would make it the least desirable in terms of rarity. I think having a dash-six would be more special in some ways, it being the Last of the Mohicans, so to speak.
