28-2 HP Needs Rear Sight Assembly

I recently procured a Model 28-2 Highway Patrolman from a large box of police trade-ins. A little dinged up, but it was the best of the bunch from what I could tell.

However, the rear sight assembly is completely missing.

Q1: is replacing it something I could do, or does it require some level of smithing talent?

Q2: if it is DIY, any recommendations on the best place to get the parts? Does it come as one whole assembly, or do I have to buy each component and piece it together?

Yes, it is an easy do it yourself. Just go slow - there are small pieces.

You can probably get one by advertising on this board in the WTB section.

I just bought a fully ready rear sight for my 686 - Brownells, the guys there in the technical dept walked me through options and gave me part numbers to order = give them a call its an 800 number so its free. I am pretty sure they will have an 'N' frame rear sight.
