Good Evening,

I just picked up a 29-2 that I'm experience a small issue with.

The first thing I noticed was the thumb piece had a "hitch" when pushing forward to open the cylinder. Also the double action pull had a noticeable snag to get the trigger movement started.

I fully disassembled the revolver, tightened the ejector rod, and reassembled it, but the issue persisted.

With the side plate off I can see how the rear of the hammer is hitting the tail end of the bolt, hanging up on it, then when enough pressure is exerted, slides past it allowing the gun to be cocked.

What would be the best way to remedy this situation?

Thanks in advance,

Kirby

Upon further investigation the center pin is much more difficult to get moving than the ones in my other guns. I'll see if I can get that cleaned up some more .

Upon further & further investigation, the end of the center pin was so mushroomed out that it wouldn't pass through the ejector rod.

I yanked the center rod out with a set of padded pliers, chucked it in my drill, and ran it across a file until it slid smoothly in the ejector rod.

It's now protruding far enough to properly depress the bolt so it clears the hammer.
