$30 gun belt?

Interesting single layer strap belt. No doubt that it is as thick as they claim and as others have stated already, however, it is a single layer strap belt. I've seen them before at many shows and many places that sell real leather belts. My point of curiosity is to what those that bought them have first hand experienced in the belt in a top to bottom pressure point is the leather that stiff? If you try to "pinch" the belt from top edge to bottom edge does it give, i.e. if you grab it like you are giving it a hand-shake does it give? The reason for dual layer belts being glued and stitched together it to provide natural resistance and stability against collapsing from top edge to bottom edge. This is what provides a stable platform for your holster. A certain maker even beveled his belts from centerline out to the edge to provide an even more natural physics against a collapse of edge to edge. Curious as to what those that have bought these single layer strap belts have experienced in this. Feedback?

Very good point. "Thickness isn't all that matters".

I just received the two belts I ordered. The shipping was very fast.
Looking over the belts I'm very pleased They are very stiff I tried to fold 'flex them and am happy to say they passed my test. Time will tell how they will hold up but so far I'm happy.

I just received a Brown, creased with screws.Ordered 11/18,received 11/24.I could not be happier. The belt is substantial a full 1/4 inch thick according to my measurements.Used it today at the range and its a keeper.Free shipping for 1st time buyer if you apply the code they email you.The company suggests if you wear a size 36(I wish) to order a 38.Based on what l have read l ordered 2 sizes larger and it worked well for me.Good service, fast shipping,I am planning on two more as gifts for my sons.

Just got one in and the belt does indeed measure 1/4 inch thick (almost exactly, at .245"-.255" measured with calipers a few places the length of the belt).

At $30 to my door (first-time buyers get a free shipping code), this belt is hard to beat. First impression is definitely positive.

How do you get the first time buyer free shipping? I didn't see the option

After using mine for most of the day yesterday, I'm not impressed. I think it's too flimsy to carry a gun comfortably all day. It was only $30 though.

I've got three of them. If they're not the same brand, they're the same thing. Single layer belt a 1/4" or so thick. I got two of them from a local guy that sells holsters. They just came in a plain plastic bag. The other one I got off Ebay. They were all about $30.00 or so.

The hold my pants and my guns up just as well as the two, hundred dollar Beltman belts I've got.

(It does seem they're shrinking though. I have to use the more outer holes these days for some reason.)

For $30, it's not a bad belt. Just not as still as I was hoping it would be.

I guess I'm just spoiled by the stiffness of my Ares Ranger enhanced.

I was hoping that you were referencing a traditional Ranger leather belt that was enhanced for holster wear. Those look nice and all but frankly way too tactical for my use. Now, if it were an enhanced Ranger belt that was the traditional Ranger belt (leather, smaller tang of leather over overlapped full size, with brass buckle) I'd go for it in a heartbeat.

I personally like TrackLine, no holes in belt, has metal interior sandwiched in belt. Automatic adjustment and no sag. The belt is $59.00. Especially made for Carrying. I don't use it at any other time.
