$30 gun belt?

My $30 Belt arrived today. Seems to be good! I like it! Looks great, thick and stiff. I went for the optional stitching...nice and consistent.

Also ordered an extra black buckle.

Brass looking one works for now.

I just ordered a regular natural tan one. $5 off, and free shipping! $25 shipped! I don't know how they can do that and stay in business.

I am looking forward to examining it in detail when it arrives.

The belt arrived in a timely manner, and I liked it so much I ordered another one right away, this time a stitched one in the same color (natural), and still the $5 off and free shipping. They measure exactly 1/4 inch thick, and seem to be tough as nails.

No steel insert needed for me; these are plenty stiff as-is.

Or...

Desantis makes a reinforced leather belt line called the Econo that offers a few options at ~$30. I've been using them for the last year or so to hold up my daily carry M629 Deluxe, so they work.

Buy 2 inches bigger than your waist.

I'm actually wearing a DeSantis Econo right now. Not bad! Only downside is I've beaten the hell out of the hole I use most often. Otherwise it handles daily carry with an AIWB G26.

For my next belt, I'm thinking about trying out one of the infinitely-adjustable ratcheting belts, possibly not even leather. One hole is way too lose, the next one up is a smidge tight on really hot, active days. I commonly wind up with the G-Lock logo imprinted in reverse on my skin.

I was recently looking for an everyday heavy work style belt and bought a belt made by Boston Leather at under that price point. Stitched, 3/16 thick, 1 1/2 wide. Made in the USA which is a big deal to me. I don't know if it would stand up to a full size 1911 like my Beltman belt. But I've been wearing it for a while, it's a really nice belt and it's holding up fine. Should last me quite awhile. Will definitely purchase another. Boston Leather 6582ST. Under $25 most places.

I ordered a $30 gun belt. 1.5", steel reinforced, with an extra black buckle, it came to about $40 delivered. I have been losing some weight lately (more to go....lots more....), and it was time for a new belt.

It took about a week to come in.

I like it. It's not a double-thick Simply Rugged, but it's also less than 1/2 the price of the SR.

I will absolutely order another, when the time comes.

I sure would not want a belt any thicker or stiffer than $30 belt.

I realize this is an old thread but, thought I'd mention that I just ordered one of the $30 gun belts and noticed that my paypal payment went to Daltech Enterprises which is the same company that makes Daltech holsters. Just an FYI.

I have yet to find a belt that did not have an internal stiffener of either kydex or steel that was worth bothering with for carrying a gun.

I wore Looper Kydex reinforced belts for years, but since they've been bought out, the rice increased and the quality decreased. I am currently wearing a Daltech Steel Core Bullbelt, and could not be happier.

I used their belt for a year and was satisfied but upgraded to the metal core and that has made OWB carry a real pleasure.
