.357 as a EDC?

I can imagine repeat magnum shots being about half as fast as 38 loads.. Practice more and get faster or maybe shoot 158 grain 38s for practice and not light loads to get more used to heavy recoil... Either way 357s out of a 340 are a lot more devastating than any 38 will ever be.

I'm lucky to have acquired a 3" 60-10 .357, 3" 65 and 3" 66s which are .357/.38s.

I carry a 125gr .38 hollow points in urban settings and 158gr soft point .357s in Penn's Woods.

The 60-10 is usually a back up to a long gun, or IWB. the 65/66s are stand alone OWB woods guns or IWB urban carry.

Sgt Rock - You shoot bad guy who is committing a robbery and a bullet exits and kills a good guy. The bad guy (if he survives) is charged with Murder for the death of the good guy.

That is the definition of the crime of "felony murder". Two bad guys commit a felony, get into a gunfight, and one bad guy gets killed. His partner is charged with felony murder. It doesn't have to be a non-participant.

The problem with a good guy/non-combatant accidentally getting killed during a felony is that while the bad guy can be charged with felony murder there could be, that's C O U L D - not saying WILL - have some civil liability for the good guy shooter.

It is what it is, each jurisdiction has its variations.

As an FYI, they do make 9mm snub nose revolvers if you’re ok with using moon clips. I loved using moon clips in my S&W 940 and would still own it if it didn’t lock up after a couple of cylinders full of ammo. They do make the Ruger SP101 and Lace in 9mm. Don’t know if they have issues with those revolvers in 9mm or not.

Can't ever go wrong with a new Python.
